Psychotherapy, Counselling and Clinical Supervision

Working with me in therapy, you can expect to explore the different facets of yourself- with curiosity and without judgement- and be warmly challenged towards growth and development.

I have years of experience working with people who have histories of childhood trauma and addiction, as well as many other presenting issues. Recently, my practice has been shaped by a more psychoanalytic approach, which means that I lean on the teachings of depth-psychology to offer a space for people to explore the most meaningful aspects of their lives.

My practice is upheld by intersectional feminist foundations, and I strive to offer an inclusive space for all.

People that come to therapy with me are exploring:

  • Current relational difficulties and their roots in early childhood relationships

  • Symptoms of trauma including, but not restricted to; addiction, low self-worth, difficulty with personal boundaries, a sense of feeling lost, dissociation, sexual difficulties, nightmares, psychosomatic manifestations, anxiety or panic, depression, repeating relational patterns, disordered eating

  • The imaginal space- working with dreams, creativity, spirituality and the unconscious

Clinical Supervision

I offer collaborative, trauma-informed supervision for counsellors and therapists with roots in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. My supervisees and I often focus on the relational aspects of their work, transference/countertransference, the imaginal space and the cultural context of their client work.

A note on inclusivity:

I aim to provide a space for my clients that acknowledges gender, race, sexuality, ability, background, culture and religion and the different privileges or disadvantages that this affords. Within my practice, and using the privilege that I have, I commit to ongoing training and reading on these topics so that I can offer what I hope is a sense of safety for the people I work with that do not benefit from the same kinds of privileges that I do.
